Then at 4, 2006 Indiana Christian Expo will host a Global Day of Prayer Service beginning at 4:00pm.

Last year on, May 15, 2005 -- More than 160 nations and an estimated 200 million Christians gathered together around the world and in Indianapolis to pray. In the US 182 sites registered their event with the US Global Day of Prayer website representing 38 states, 1 in the District of Columbia and 1 Overseas Military Command.

In Indianapolis, Christians from many different denominations and races came together under the roof of the Indiana State House to pray for the needs of Indianapolis and the state of Indiana. The focus of the prayer ranged from the education and criminal justice systems in Indiana to the governmental leaders.

The crowd responded to uplifting prayers, worship songs, represented several different churches around the city. Participants were deeply moved.

Rev. Thomas C. Walker president of the One Accord Ministry and Coordinator of the Indianapolis event said, "I believe this year is even a greater opportunity for a major step toward unifying the Body of Christ and getting Christians and churches to work together for the good of Indianapolis." Regarding religious and racial reconciliation “Me and my friends here today believe this is just the start of something we can now build upon,” added Walker.

After June 4th

Plans are in the works for After June 4th know as the 90 days of outreach that will include services for the poor and needy ranging from repairs to houses to free job training. We need your help. It Started in South Africa

In July 2000, and in February 2002, God gave two complimentary visions to Graham Power, a successful businessman and relatively new convert that Africa will become the "Light to the world" and this vision had 5 stages. It first spread throughout South Africa and then to the rest of the continent. This year was the first year for other countries to embrace a Global Day of Prayer.

The Global Day of Prayer free event was organized by a coalition of Christian organizations in the city. Next year’s event has already been scheduled for June 4, 2006. The location has yet to be announced.
